Kelani Akeem Tolu was born on 10th August, 1971, to the family of Suaru Akanji Kelani.

He attended both his primary and secondary education in Lagos State at Ojuwoye Primary School, Mushin and Ajumoni Secondary School, Iyana Isolo, Mushin.

He proceeded to the University of Jos, Plateau State, where he obtained a degree in Sociology. He later earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos, Lagos State.

Kelani Akeem Tolu is currently employed with the Lagos State Government under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, where he rose from the officer cadre to the directorate cadre.

He is presently serving at the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) as the Head of Department, Social Development and Integration.

A professional Social Worker, he applies the principles of his profession in building a distinguished career as a public servant.

Prior to his deployment to LASODA, he worked across several ministries and agencies, including the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LSUBEB), Education District III, Falomo, Ministry of Justice, Mushin Local Government, Ikeja Local Government (as a probation officer handling family matters), Boys Correctional Centre, Oregun, Old People’s Home, Yaba, and Oshodi-Isolo Local Government.
